“I bought this as the audio quality from the built-in PI jack is really poor. This USB sound card solves this problem and the quality is really good but... it has the brightest indicator LED which flashes when receiving audio. I kid you not! the Great Wall of China and this red LED can be see from space!! it's a useful indication of state but there's utterly no need for it to be quite this bright. It's given my dog two seizures :o)”
“A great product at a great price.
Added this to a pi2 running as a squeezelite player to improve the quality of the audio out. Vastly improved audio, no pop or crackle as found with the native 3.5mm connector.
Only downside is the red led within product that casts an ambient light in a darkened room. I suggest building an enclosure for the set up if it is going to be used in a room where you intend to sleep.”
