“A great piece of kit. Affordable and so simple to use. Just plug it into the Pi and connect monitor, or speaker cable. works well and no delay, unlike Bluetooth. Definitely a must if you want YouTube on your rpi5.”
“Works a treat. Moved to a raspberry pi 5 from a 4 and lost the 3.5mm audio jack needed for my speakers.
This works well but I might have to wrap it in tape to cover the internal red led light it gives out - only gripe.”
“I used the USB Adapter on my Raspberry 4 with my earphones and found the white noise quite loud.
Be aware that if you have earphones with integrated microphone (TRRS jack), the microphone will not work.
Very good services from PiHut otherwise.”
“Bought this as part of a revamp of my Pi-based bartop arcade machine. Had previously been using an Adafruit amp plugged into the 3.5mm port. This was quite noisy but the output from the USB adapter powering a set of USB powered speakers is much cleaner. Works on the Pi great through Retropie.”
