“My Pi4 was running rather hot it it's original case. I looked at several cases but a video convinced me to get the FLIRC case. Very pleased. From running at 68 C it now runs at 48C showing that the passive cooling works really well and the Pi is unlikely to throttle due to high temperature. In addition the case is sturdy, elegant and all the ports (except GPIO) are accessible. Highly recommended.”
“good looking metal box - not plastic. It says it helps cooling down the cpu but i have not tested the temperature under intense processing. It's £10 more expensive that the official, but I thought, why not, looks good.”
“A well constructed case which fits my new pi 4 perfectly.
I purchased this Flirc case because I wanted a decent cooling solution as well as an attractive housing for my Pi.
I have done some brief tests running all 4 cores at 100%, the case does get warm ( as expected ) but the processor temperature remains well under the throttling temperature.
All in all a great little case if a little expensive.”
