“Ive done a video review on Youtube as follows;
https://youtu.be/nTE7IwNoeoI
First one had to be returned, hence 4 instead of 5 stars but well pleased with replacement device.
Cable around 18" or 45cm, connectors are conventional USB and microUSB so works with Pi Zero as well as Android devices.
Bonus is as well as used passively it can also be powered and the input socket is microUSB - just like all our phone chargers so useful though check output of charger as 500mA probably of little use.
USB 2 - OK, not USB2 but only a few years back we were all saying how fast USB2 was.”
“This is overpriced VS ones that can be purchased over the internet and since using this (1 week) one of the USB slots have been dislodged and cannot be used.”
“I've been banging my head against the wall for the past few months trying to get a RetroPie setup working so that several different sets of controllers are automatically assigned as P1 & P2 depending on which emulator is launched (arcade stick for MAME, snes controller for snes emulators etc.)
But no matter what I do or how I assign them using the "Joystick Selection" script, random USB ports seem to either rearrange order or drop out each time retropie launches a game, causing random controller to assign as P1/P2 each time (with the exception of the bluetooth PS3 controllers, which always remain properly assigned, so I'm assuming it's something to do with the USB port-order that's at fault).
This is the 4th different powered USB-hub I've bought; I assumed maybe the other hubs I bought just weren't compatible with raspberry pi in some way.
This one claims to be fully compatible, so I assumed it would fix my issues, however unfortunately it hasn't.”
“Easy plug & play install. No drivers needed. Received very quickly in the US from the UK. Using it in a RetroPie arcade setup. Haven't tested for delay/lag, but I have the high priority USB devices plugged directly into the other 3 USB ports on the Pi. Keyboard and non critical switches plugged in via this USB hub.”
