“I will admit I am trying to learn my Pi, thought the best way would be to build a kit, manually write in the code and learn as I go (I have programming knowledge). I must be doing something wrong, as I just can't find the documentation as to how to build the robot, you have motors, sensors etc but no wiring diagram, which GPIO pin attaches to what. I know it must be out there somewhere as so many people seem to have cracked it, but they do not make it obvious. So at the moment, I feel let down by the instructions. Expect I will get there eventually but to have this much trouble right at the start is disappointing. I am sure it is more me that the kit!”
“Bought the kit to use in conjunction with the Voice HAT kit, the parts provided are nice and versatile making them easy to integrate with many other kits.”
“To begin with I did not get the double sided tape that was supposed to be included so I had to buy my own. Other than that it worked very well. I now have it running headlessly with a keyboard.”
“The best not just for the price but period.
I teach robotics at a college, I have bought and used a lot of kits. Some have really good amazon reviews but CamJam kit deserves them. It’s easy from this to buy 12v motors from ebay to make it 3x or 6x faster. Add a cheap raspberry pi camera, and add all the CamJam2 sensors. After working your way through this kit, you’ll have a good robotics knowledge to work from.
Next I would recommend the MeArm.”
“I bought this kit after a recent trip to a Pi workshop with my young son. He was really interested in building one so we bought this kit. Unbelievably easy to build, all we needed to include was a power bank to power the Pi. I also purchased a Pi PS style controller. The sonic sensor is great fun and it's very easy to program. An absolute must for a first foray into robotics”
