“It works flawless with my home HTPC. Programming last only few minutes. When plugged to raspberry it has a little lag, that is not occurring when plugged to PC.”
“Ordered the FLIRC dongle. It arrived in good time. Setting it up was simple. I used the TV remote (Samsung). Everything worked OK for a while, then things fell apart. I pushed the TV remote and the Raspberry Pi jumped ahead two: as if I had pushed the button twice. Very annoying. I tried reprogramming it, no change. I read the help pages, seems others are having the similar problems.
My work around, I reprogrammed the unit with an Apple remote. All works fine now. I don't know where the problem was, me, my remote, raspberrry pi, or aliens looking my window :)!
In the end it works fine, but I spent an extra day to get there....”
