“Did exactly what it said on the tin, even if there wasn't actually a tin! It was just popped in jiffy envelope with another item, not wrapped in anything and I was holding my breath when I first plugged it in. However it worked great with minimal intervention if any at all. I plugged it straight into the board rather than my USB hub. Keep that for your mouse, keyboard and other stuff.”

It fitted into the USB easily, with plenty of room for a second USB adapter for my wireless keyboard and mouse. Device drivers/ configs were managed and installed automatically using the Raspbian “wheezy” image. It could not have been simpler.
