“The company left my wood at the end of my drive in a dangerous position and did not respond to my e mail or call in writing as requested. The trolley used by the driver could not go over gravel. If this had been made clear I would have used the same company as before who delivered next to the wood shed. There was also some soft wood in with the hard wood I ordered.”

Dear customer, The delivery service we provide is explained in detail on our website. A pallet cannot be delivered with a tail lift: - To soft ground such as grass, gravel, and soil, or uneven paving slabs - To a premise where it is illegal for a lorry to park or offload. - Where the access road is on a steep incline. - Where the access road does not provide 5m width clearance and 5m vertical clearance (usually anywhere a bin lorry can get to is fine).

“I consider Ash to be the best log for my wood burner having tried ash, oak, birch and hornbeam from my previous supplier. Ash is a long clean burning log which leaves a fine clean ash. My previous supplier could not provide ash, so after searching the internet I decided to try Luxury Wood who advertised that they could provide Ash logs in a 1.2 cubic metre pallet. I prefer my logs to be delivered in a pallet rather than in bags as I break up the pallet and use them for kindling. Delivery was arranged in advance and arrived bang on time. The logs are exactly what I was after, they are a good size and provide tremendous heat. Ash is not the cheapest hardwood log but I consider them value for money.”

“I have a log store built from an old luxury wood log large crate, this one was about a fifth smaller and when unloading it there were large gaps in the interior where the logs were loosely packed and its contents didn't fill the store. The old crate when measured gave a volume of 1.4427 cubic metres, the new one 1.178 cubic metres! The wood is ok but I would rather the wood was measured by weight since volume can be quite arbitrary, how loose is a loose volume of 2m3? Think I will look for another supplier next year.”

Dear Paul, We have stopped the Giant crates as they were causing too many Health and Safety problems. We advertise the loose volume of all firewood products. With the new full crates it is 2 m3. The formula to calculate the loose volume is the stacked one multiplied by 1.6 LWC Team

“Logs much dirtier than previously, having to brush before bringing into the house. No email about despatch and first notification about delivery received 3 hours before arrival, good job I was at home!”
