“This is the best herring in existence - the quality, taste, and freshness - all beyond any praise! The only complaint is that it is very rarely in stock. Please could you buy a larger stock so that we can enjoy it longer and more often?”

“I am Dutch but have lived outside The Netherlands for the greater part of my life: I always said the thing I missed most from back home was the ‘groene” haring. Am so pleased I can now buy it here in the UK, too. The reason I gave you only three stars was based on the fact that when I received the (second) order the herring was not packed in a polystyrene box as was the first, and both the ice pack and the herrings were defrosted. I was assured that I could safely refreeze the ones I was not going to eat there and then, but although I did so, I was not very happy about it, having for years being told never to refreeze goods that have previously been frozen and then defrosted”

“i highly recommend Wild Dutch Maatjes Herring fillets . i lightly fried them in salted butter and had noodles to accompany them . Their flavour is lovely . i will be buying again :-) xx”
