Sonarworks speaker and room correction has worked absolute wonders for my room. My gripe is that since I moved to SoundID Reference my old Studio Reference 4 software continues to start at startup of my iMac, even though I’ve taken the software out of the startup folder. Plus, when I asked how to uninstall the older software, I was asked why I would want to do that, as if to imply there was some reason to keep it. Very confusing and irritating.

When SoundID Reference was introduced I couldn't A/B it with Reference 4. The two did not coexist peacefully. I was therefore unable to assess whether SoundID was worth the trouble, and chose not to upgrade. As SoundID matured it became easier to do this, and its additional capabilities seemed worth the upgrade cost.
