SoundID has more headphones templates and more options to get references for mastering.

Disappointed with the cost. I invested in references 4 only to be hit with a large additional cost a few years down the road.

I moved to a new mix room and needed to measure, Reference 4 Measure would no longer work on my currect MacOS so I pretty much had to upgrade. But it worked rock solid on my existing presets all the way up until now. The upgrade process was simple and if you're familiar with the old version you won't have any issues using SoundID Reference. One thing to be aware of, I purchased from the USA and got hit with a foreign transaction fee. Should have used a different payment method ⋋_⋌

The new interface is cleaner and easier to navigate, and the calibration loads faster than before. I also like the added flexibility with custom target curves and the translation check feature — it helps me trust my mixes more across different playback systems. The upgrade process was smooth, and activation was quick. Definitely a worthwhile update for anyone already using Reference 3 or 4.
