“I liked my Reference 4 but im wasn’t so happy to find out that i had to pay for a ”new” application, Sound ID, when i bought a new Mac Studio. It is just an uppgrade that should be free since i bought Reference 4. I didn’t even find a easy way to export my room calibrations from reference 4 to SoundID.”
“I use the VST in Ableton Live on my Master Bus.
Just recently updated to SoundID and am very happy with the update. I like the comparing of different environments added.”
“The latest version, SoundID, has some fantastic new features and I’m really pleased I upgraded. After struggling with a particular mix for some time after installing the new software and doing a reference on my monitors I managed to nail a perfect mix straight away. This is in a room that is acoustically controlled so the software helps no matter the room you’re working in. As always these days I had some issues with Protools sound cards (HD) but this is an issue with most third party applications and Avid these days. Sonarworks gave me immediate help and I got sorted out. Totally recommended for anyone seriously mixing no matter the quality of their environment. It will find your nulls and peaks and get you a flat response for mixing. The standard headphone algorithms are also very impressive and switching from my monitors to headphones is seamless and translates exactly the same.”
“Unfortunately it seems I have waisted my money on the upgrade. It does not work with win 11 ever time I log in and out it drops and wont work untill I uninstall en reinstall the software. I am so disappointed did not expected this from Sonarworks”
