The software itself it’s a game changer but the new sound id has awesome new presets such as avantone mixcubes and ns10s but also different car stereo emulations, iPhone, and laptop presets.

Oh the euphoria of pastures new! New home, new studio space, big plans that is until I realized that the space for my studio was - due to the dimensions - more than sub optimal. Every source I researched and every acoustic expert I asked flat out said “Find a new space”. But!!!!! After a great deal of trial and error I finally tamed the untamable beast of what was supposed to be an acoustic impossibility. After a ton of acoustic treatment - Basotect - and measurements - Sonarworks - I finally ended up with a small peak at 100Hz and a dip around 80Hz with all other frequencies pretty much flat. Yeah! Sonarworks Sound ID did the rest by addressing the peak and dip. This should be in every studios - home or professional - toolbox as it’s indispensable for measuring room acoustics and after that in tweaking those nasty frequencies that your room still has. My mixes and as a consequence my clients are much happier.

I like the speaker emulation function. The eq is more on the soft side.

Now being able to manually adjust the EQ curve in SoundID Reference is the best improvement! To my ears there was always too much top end after correction and had to adjust the monitors which is not so precise. Now is perfect, thnx!

Both apps are buggy in their own way. The features and pretty UI are not worth an extra $90
