Being able to use it as a simulated audio device instead of having it as a problem is a huge time saver, and you never forget to turn it off (because you don't have to). Also the calibrations of bad spaces etc helps to simulate other devices brilliantly. Also the m1 support works wonders. Defiantly worth the money!

A great upgrade on an already good product, the ability to adjust the correction is a great option, allowing you to make custom presets, an indispensable tool for any studio, and any set of monitors. Malk

Good product, but there are some drawbacks after upgrading: I miss the button to switch between speaker and headphone mode in the plugin, which I had on a hotkey in my DAW to quickly change between the two, now I have to open the plugin and manually select the preset each time. Next and previous preset controls don't work well in Ableton. Applying EQ curves feels laggy and can be annoying to get right. The application feels heavy on my system, I have to use a high buffer size to avoid dropouts and clicks And finally, I would like to see a cross-talk feature for headphones

New download but no overwrite Funktion. I have to deinstall reference4 and disable the autostart of reference 4 manually.

A great advance, being able to select what frequencies I want to be flattened, or the laptop/club/mobile phone emulator saves me to change between systems to test my mixes

Sound ID is definitely a worthwhile upgrade from Reference, although it was frustrating to be told shortly after purchasing reference that the bugs would only be fixed in SoundID and this was a paid (not cheap) upgrade... The biggest upgrades are the stability and the ability to save custom presets with the exact settings you want. I also like the ability to test on different playback systems which is fairly accurate and extremely important part of the mixing & mastering process. I hope future upgrades are not as costly as this one though.
