I really liked Sonar reference, I was hesitant about upgrading, as I am very much of the mentality of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it it". However, some of the new features are cool on Sound ID! I like being able to quickly flick through various emulated sounds to reference my mix.

Very easy process, would be seamless if speaker calibrations were not needed to be done again.

When you upgrade to SounId get also the Reference for headphones. It's really important to have a good balanced profile for your headphones.

I'm a bit disappointed that that 'Bass boost and tilt' function is not in SoundID, I can't seem to draw my own EQ curves in exactly the same way and therefore I am still using Reference 4 until I have time to get used to the SoundID EQ for fear that I am not hearing things the way I expect and not delivering mixes properly... I read in the forum that Sonarworks are working on this so I will likely wait until whenever that update is released.
