It seems pretty great! I cannot go back to the natural sound of my room after this.

In reviews they tend to say: « this product changed my life ! » … Sound a bit cheesy , wouldn’t you agree? Unless… you come across the update of what already was a game changer. Now not only you hear what you mix but with the speaker simulation you can predict the future sound elsewhere! In your car, on your phone, on those crappy phone speakers … i am speechless but full of sound now!

I think they are more accurate when you upgrade. And the virtual rooms make your mixing more interesting!

Going from reference 4 to ID reference was a good choice. You’ve got more options and the fact that can choose which frequency range should be treated is what I was always looking for. I’m not sure whether my mind tricks me on that one, but I feel like the new version sounds cleaner because it doesn’t blur the sound as much as the previous version due to phase issues. I’m happy

I think I need a little more time with the new SoundID version. As of right now, for my purposes, I don't notice a noticeable difference in the actual function of the software only the GUI changes.

I upgraded to SoundID in order to use the Sonarworks integration on my Adam Audio monitors. Works like a dream - really easy to follow the instructions when measuring the frequency response of my room. The Adam Audio integration is seamless, and it is really straightforward to import the room profile onto the speaker's DSP. This is an invaluable tool for me in my less-than-perfect sounding room and I'm getting some really nice mixes out of my new setup.

As a film composer and music producer, achieving a balanced, accurate sound is crucial for delivering professional-quality mixes, especially in a home studio where acoustics are often less than ideal. SoundID from Sonarworks has been a game-changer in my workflow. By calibrating my studio monitors to the acoustics of my room, SoundID compensates for imperfections like uneven frequency response, giving me a true reference point. This has drastically improved the accuracy of my productions, helping me make better mix decisions that translate well across different playback systems. The software’s ease of use is another major plus. With a few clicks, I was able to measure my room's acoustics and set up the correction profile. Since using SoundID, my mixes have more clarity, the bass is more defined, and I can trust that what I hear is an accurate representation of the final product. It’s helped me save time and avoid constant back-and-forth adjustments when listening on different systems. Overall, SoundID has elevated the quality of my work, making my home studio feel like a professional mixing environment.
