“The main reason for purchasing the Sonos Beam was to improve the clarity of dialogue, as my wife often struggles to the point of using subtitles for some television series and films. The many reviews I saw for this product complimented this aspect of its performance. When watching normal television content, there is a greater depth to the sound and the improved bass is evident. The quality of dialogue, especially with the Enhanced Dialogue setting selected, is also clear. That said, the improvement over my TV speakers for normal TV content is subtle. However, that changes when watching films with a Dolby Atmos or 5.1 soundtrack when the step up is very noticeable, giving an immersive and cinematic experience. Overall pleased with the purchase and would recommend it. As a note, I've not been able to perform True Play Tuning yet, so the performance may not be maximised.”

“The product arrived next day, well packed and quite heavy. It was superbly protected within the inner box and with clear instructions. I found it easy to set up and after installing the App on my iPad I was able to carry out the remaining tweaks which match output to the room and location. Very pleased with the result with clearer voices and much better sound when listening to orchestral music and opera. Good value..”

“The Sonos beam is a great little sound bar especially when paired with the Sonos sub. One thing I've discovered though is that if you have multiple Sonos speakers in one room (we have a pair of Ones for music and now a beam for the TV) the sub will only work with one. It's either associated with the Beam or the Ones and thus will only play with that source. You can manually add the sub to which ever speakers you're using each time but this is a faff and all your truplay tuning is lost! I doubt it would be difficult for Sonos to sort this out. Not sure why they haven't!? Anyway back to the review...the beam is excellent!”
