“I'm a data junky. I love data. Sometimes I even use that data. The good: Data is good, tracking is pretty solid. The great: Customer service is OUTSTANDING. If you find a problem with course mapping or course data, Bob's your uncle with these folks. The not so great: When wet the touch screen is finicky at best. When dry it can be touchy. The tough to stomach: The battery; I occasionally play 36 holes in a day, you might get 27 holes with a fresh charge, will NOT get 36. Battery life is worse that an iPhone 4 after 2 years of updates.”

“I have been using Shotscope for years with the V3 watch and love it. X5 was a new product that sounded great. Ordered it under a special purchase, did have issues that support worked to help me. They gave me a new watch and i have had no issues whatsoever. Actually, I her been so impressed as to accurate the info is that i have almost no corrections to do when downloaded. I am actually impressed as to how the watch corrects itself when going to the wrong hole. I would not go back to anything else. Great Job Shotscope !!”

“Bought this when it came out, as an addition to the 2 V3s I already own. Very high quality look. The initial firmware required an impossible (for me) complete turn of the crown to unlock the screen so I made the default screen unlocked. Unfortunately, this resulted in the screen responding to all sorts of random inputs, many of which I didn't think I initiated. This caused numerous annoyances. The recent firmware update allows me to have the screen unlocked and use a long press to unlock it, which is much more user friendly. The active score keeping function is nifty.”

“I previously had the V3 and upgraded. Initially the X5 had some issues but were quickly remedied with firmware update. If I forget to take the watch to golf I usually have a bad round as the front and back of tee distances are fantastic and accurate. Excellent watch, I cannot fault.”

“I love what the watch is capable of performing however there are too many times when the clubs tag is not picked up by the watch which leads to having to guess as to where the shot should be placed which creates inaccuracy in club distances. Another issue is that as soon as you step on the green the watch goes right to number of putts prior to putting. This makes it impossible for me to determine if my putter has been recognized.”

“The X5 has some great features and I really like being able to track my club distances, but I’ve been disappointed in the reliability. I’m on my 3rd watch as the first two stopped working after a couple of months. Shotscope has been great at replacing them.”
