“I chose this watch after trying out the Arccos system. I find the tracking on the X5 is more accurate than my experience with the Arccos and the app to make any adjustments to be much easier. My only gripe is that (and this might be a user induced issue) is the device will sometimes get crossed up between wanting the score from the last hole (and it was entered) and displaying the current hole's layout. Otherwise, I have been much happier with this watch/app over the Arccos and no subscription is required with the Shot Scope. Highly recommend.”

“The watch has some drawbacks, like it's brightness, sensitivity and general slowness. However, it works mostly well. I am not sure why the company has a 'putter' sensor when you have to enter the putting strokes manually, but that is how it goes. It is a lot of work to enter info on the watch as you are playing and then correcting the work done on the computer, but you get the info you want. That is the winning part. Once you do it a few times and get used to the system, you do get great info on true club distances, strokes gained / lost and a ton of other info. I would buy this again, but the automatic data info should come much easier.”

Hi Steven, We do have an auto putt mode where you don't enter in your putts, the tag identifies the location of your putts automatically. You always still need to just enter the amount of putts taken at the end of each hole though. If you do need some more help please contact our support team at support@shotscope.com

“So far, I have been pleased with my X5. It doesn't always pickup which club I am using during practice swings unless I specifically hold the sensor close to the GPS ahead of time. It does provide a lot of data about my round which is what I bought it for. I wish you could add a few general notes about the round when you sign off on the round. I really dislike it using a special proprietary charging cable. The battery life could be better. I haven't tried using it for 2 rounds to see if it would last but the battery is in the 50's percent wise after one round.”

“I used the othet similar product for the last three years but was sick of subscription fees. I’ve use the X5 and sensors for the last five rounds. I believe it’s more accurate than other similar products. It is extremely easy to use and all you have to do is mark the pin once you haul out by looking at your watch and tapping mark pin, which automatically shows up on the screen. The only negatives: the battery life. One round I’m down to about 50 or 60%. And it did freeze up on me in the middle of a round. I reset the firmware and it’s worked fine for the past two rounds. Easy to edit post rounds as well.”

“The idea of shot tracking technology for improvement in the game of golf is phenomenal. I just wish low-cost technology to match the idea was available. The price point on the X5 is excellent and the style and set up of the watch, the sensors connecting via the wristband, and the app and the statistics that it provides are excellent. But I haven’t decided if I’m going to return it yet or not. I’ve used it only three times, and I have been thoroughly unimpressed with the number of shots that it misses and with the clumsiness of some of the scoring. I’m also a little disappointed that even in the instructions online one of the solutions to the problem of missed putt tracking is to simply fix it after the round on the app. If the tracking worked as well as you claim in the sales pitch, that would be completely unnecessary. Also, the penalty tracking is so confusing. So the verdict is still out on this one.”

“cannot get a signal ...and when iyt does only lasts fofr a shirt while. Literally cannot use the watch . Total waste of money”

“The X5 is very comfortable and super esdy to read! I've only used it for 4 rounds but the data it collects is already helping me improve my game (I have a lot to improve!!) and no subscription fees!! I'm able to get at least two rounds before I have to recharge but am in the habit of charging when I take the watch off for the night. I look forward to many more rounds with this fantastic golf product!”
