Works a treat with an Integral M2 250GB NVMe drive. No problems using PCIe mode 3. All we need now is a case designed for Pi5 plus NVMe base.

The angled flex cable is great but there is no easy way to remove or change the NVME without complete disasambly

Easy to assemble after watching the youtube video to properly orient the cable and see how the coneector latces operate. Even works with PCIe gen 3 enabled (I'm using a Crucial P3 plus 1TB gen4 m.2 ssd). Hint: if you're building a new system, add the nvme base before adding the active cooler to make it easier to install the screw next to it (and plug in the fan before adding the cooler since it is tricky to plug in after the cooler is installed. It would be nice if the spacers (and possibly the cable) was slightly longer so there would be room for a heatsink on the ssd.

The NVME base seems to work right out of the box, I did have to review YouTube for tips on istallation though. The Raspberry Pi 5, power adapter and cooling fan all arrived together so no delays there. I benchmarked with latest raspbian to make sure everything functioned as advertised and no issues arose. I would have like to see some "tuning" options included but found alternative sources for that so in the end I am fairly content with product(s) so far. On the "con" side I was disapointed that no case/tower has been designed/offered for this setup I have. It sets on its little rubber feet (provided) waiting for a more stable home. BUT not many other vendors have housing product available to address all the new RPi 5 specifications.
