“Really well built adapter that looks great. Installation and setup on my HA system was a breeze but compatability with other devices appeared to be a weakness. I was unable to reliably connect devices and while i cant really fault the ZBT-2 for these issues the experience was highly frustrating.
Hopefully with time standards and software will improve so these issues are a thing of the past.”
“Was a little fiddly to set up as I wanted to keep my existing Zigbee devices running alongside the Matter devices I had bought from Ikea. The ZBT-2 can do one or the other but not both. Once I had the hang of things, I had both Zigbee and Matter/Thread working on my Home Assistant set up. All good although Matter devices take a fraction longer to respond than Zigbee which, I have read, is normal. I'm just over impatient!”
“Lovely piece of hardware. Connected to my Home Assistant Green without any issues and was recognised. 5 stars so far.
What let's it down is that when I then tried to connect some Matter devices (Ikea remote controls), it didn't work. Following advice on other forums, I jumped through multiple hoops - resetting things on phones, the remote, etc, still no joy.
I realise this could be a problem with either the Ikea remote or something else in my network, but the support is not there to help troubleshoot. It's Nabu Casa, as is my Home Assistant Green. It should either JustWork, or have a clear path to figuring out why not.”
“Looks great, connected to home assistant really easily. No issues with usb pass-through on proxmox. It's also a little smaller than I realised from the pictures.”
