“Fantastic, nice silent mini PC that runs home assistant right out of the box, comsunes very little power, has not fan so is silent (you can even turn the LEDs off if you have it in a bedroom, thankyou home assistant team!.)
Pick up most of my smarthome stuff right out of the box, a little bit of youtube watching later it pick up the rest. Now I can do fancy stuff like using Hue switches to turm off my heating.”
“I am a complete novice with this type of thing, however the initial setup was a breeze. Most of the devices on my network were automatically added and control is realy simple.
I am currently looking into some new stuff to be able to address the more advanced features, but so far I haven't seen anything that looks to conplicated. I'm looking forward to addressing some of these features over the next few weeks.”
“Excellent device. Once I'd got it connected to the "right" network it was extremely easy to set up & get started. Must be the simplest & easiest way to get into home automation 5*!”
“"Just Works (TM)"
I used to get HA on a shared machine, having this dedicated hardware for it, with fully managed OS, will hopefully improve reliability.”
“I’m new to this and it’s quite easy to a point.. it doesn’t like arlo security cameras or cheap app cctv cameras non. Onvif? Adding HACs doesn’t feel intuitive, it doesn’t supply a list of every WiFi device so you can add it Samsung white goods
/ devices meh apple older devices meh LG meh Amazon devices. So try it, it’s good but not great for non IT guys...like me”
