“We overall loved our stay at what is a true dog-friendly hotel but we just have a few suggestions for improvements. Pros: - Huge comfy bed - Brilliant package deal: included was a huge and delicious cream tea, three courses at dinner with generous portions, dog toys, dog food, bowls for our dog, snacks in the room, tea and coffee, and cleaning service. At least £200 worth of extras so even though we paid £400 for two nights which is more than we would usually, we felt we got a lot for that in a pricey area. - Loved having secure outdoor access to the courtyard for our dog - Great location for exploring northern Cotswolds - Beautiful building - Decent food - Excellent service and friendly staff Cons: - Our room was 'deluxe' but was a little tired and could do with a spruce. - Our bath had a leak which wasn't alerted to us even though they said they had known about it so we ended up with a huge puddle on the floor which leaked into the bedroom. We then couldn't use it for the remainder of our stay. Staff were very sweet and apologetic but would have appreciated a bit of money off or something extra to compensate. - Pillows quite firm - We booked in breakfast for 9.30 on a Sunday but weren't told that they have earlier breakfast times on weekdays so nearly missed it on the Monday. They did ring the room to ask if we wanted breakfast though so grateful they thought of us then. - It'd be nice to have a dog bed in the room - Lack of parking which isn't the fault of the hotel but is just a consideration for future guests. We had to park in a public car park a couple of minutes away which is only an issue when bringing in luggage.”

“Nothing about this place disappoints. The accommodation, the food, the service are all excellent and to top it all it is very dog friendly. This was our second visit and definitely won't be our last”

“Excellent weekend stay, superb food served in the snug next to the log fire. All the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We stayed in a ground floor dog friendly room which had access to the courtyard. Would definitely return!”

“Wonderful warm welcome from Staff. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. The food was delicious. The dogs were spoilt with a goody bag in the room with treats and a toy. The rooms were very cosy and comfortable, and we had a little garden to use. Parking was a bit hit and miss but our overall stay was delightful.”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Clarify that cream tea on arrival is a plain scone and cup of tea.

“The hotel was a fascinating old building with lots of history. Our room was nice and clean and on the ground floor with street access which was great for our dog. The food, both breakfast and dinner was excellent. Our only dislike was that we were told there would be a cream tea on arrival. Because of this we skipped lunch and booked our inclusive dinner for the second night as we thought we would be “full”. We were therefore disappointed when the cream tea was only a cup of tea and plain scones. Maybe it’s me but every time previously I’ve had a cream tea it includes sandwiches, cakes and scones and is really filling. It is a great place as a base for visiting all the beautiful Cotswold towns.”

“What a wonderful hotel. The staff couldn’t do enough , the room was gorgeous and the restaurant food amazing. Thank you for making my husband and I and our dog Louis feel so spoilt and welcome.”

“We spent 3 lovely days at the White Hart. All the staff were.very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were superb and evening meal was good. Our dog was made very welcome and he enjoyed the little garden. We will probably go back again.”
