“Very comfortable and well equiped room. Great food. Amzaing grounds for the dogs to run around in. Best of all the staff were all amazing. We'll definitely be going back.”

“This is the first hotel I have ever stayed at that is truly dog friendly - there is no restriction on where the dogs can go - no segregation when eating etc, the grounds (6 acrea's) are amazing for dog walking. The food was out of this world and the staff were really friendly I have tried to add photo's but i can't then submit this review”

“Very dog friendly hotel with virtually every table at breakfast having a dog (all well behaved). Even though promoted as dog friendly, seems the only provision for dogs is by reception with no welcome pack or dog biscuits in the bedrooms. Upgraded to a suite at the end of the first floor and even though providing an extremely large space with a 4 poster bed and separate sitting room, it was evident that it was tired and needs refurbishemnt. The dinner was excellent including a starter and main for the inclusive package and a pint of cider to accompany each. Breakfast buffet was fine and even the scrabled egg was perfect, as usually quite rubbery in hotels. The grounds provided a pleasant place for a walk and see the tree house. Good value petspajamas package.”

“I can only add to what has already been written about this Hotel. From checking in to checking out , we were made to feel very wellcome by all the staff at the Fox and Hounds. The hotel maybe only 3* but the food is not, all the usuals were there and some amazing specials.Local produce used where possible and a decent bar that also served local beers and ciders. I am not sure the four poster bed impressed the dogs, but it did us. Both humans and Xolo's were sorry to leave.”

“We had a great stay with a huge room on ground floor with perfect very short walk to off lead river meadow. The food was delicious and the hotel is located to all main North Devon attractions. ⭐️⭐️⭐️”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Only negative point for us was that we let our dog out onto the terrace to find a very full ashtray, as none smokers that was not good.

“Lovely hotel, VERY dog friendly. We loved the fact that our dog could join us in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Nice grounds and good walks. Have already recommended to friends.”

“The Hotel rooms need updating and redecorating. On the whole pleasant stay. Staff friendly and very attentive. Menu needs more choice and bigger portions but were tasty. Great breakfast. Lovely grounds for for exercising your dog's.”
