“My husband and I and our little boy had a fabulous 3 nights away at the Fox. The staff were so welcoming from the moment we arrived and made us feel like it was home from home. Our dog, Pablo, absolutely loved all the treats, the fuss and the huge grounds to roam around in, we couldn’t recommend it enough! Petpyjamas did a fabulous job booking this for us, it was completely stress free and everything was organised so quickly.”

“We were delighted when we arrived at the Fox & Hound for our 5 night stay. It’s a beautiful hotel with fantastic grounds, perfect for walking the dog. We were happy with our room and the food was excellent. The staff were very helpful and friendly especially Stephen. We would love to come again.”

“Very dog friendly. Excellent exercise grounds for the dogs. Limited menu especially for vegetarians,but what we had was very good. Plenty of parking. Lily our Lhasa Apso loved it and so did we.”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? I appreciate the owners have only been there a year and I wish you all the luck on the future.A few tweaks here and there would make a big difference..

“Food excellent,staff very friendly nothing to much trouble, room21 very small supposed to be disabled room I am glad we did NOT have a wheel chair, very hot the sash window was very hard to open .needs lots of work doing to it. Would have been nice for some information on places to visit.Dogs more than welcome every where ,lovely grounds to explore .”

“Lovely grounds, perfect dog exercise area which is beautiful and substantial and has a dog dip area into the river ( shallow). Dog’s welcome in all areas. What really makes this place great are the staff, who are all super friendly and welcoming and genuinely want you to have a great time.”

“We searched many a hotel to find one that would allow us to bring our two dogs with us for a special anniversary few days away. The Fox and Hound is certainly this hotel. The dogs were warmly welcomed as much as us. And allowed everywhere in hotel. Our room (a superior) was spacious, enough for one dog bed & one crate and still plenty of room. We had a separate entrance for those early morning and late evening visits outside with dogs, which was really handy. We were there during heatwave so was a little warm for all, but the room had a fan and we managed to procure a second from reception. The staff were friendly and helpful and welcoming. Grounds of hotel are fantastic with a river for cooling off and ample space for a good run for the dogs. Food was delicious, yes a small menu but enough to have something different each night and a good buffet breakfast with a sausage for the dogs! If I could offer a suggestion just a hose/tap to wash dogs off after a day on the beach. We will definitely return when next in Devon. Thank you.”
