“We have been here 3 times now and cannot rate this hotel highly enough. There is everything your dogs needs, treats , drying towel, dog bowls and treats in the bedrooms and lots of attention. The staff are a credit to the hotel ,very friendly and professional .The food is excellent .Thoroughly recommend the Fox and Hounds.”

“We couldn't fault it .Our greyhound was made to feel very welcome and was allowed in the dining area with us. .We were on a two night package deal with evening meal included which was very good value. Only one little thing, the lack of vegetable choice.There was only roasted root vegetables with most of the meals but apart from this food very good. Beautiful surrounding grounds for dog walking.”

“This was our second visit to the hotel. All our requests had been arranged on our arrival. The staff are always friendly and efficient. The hotel is totally dog friendly and has a lovely atmosphere. Fabulous food and good dog walks from the hotel. Looking forward to our next visit.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at the hotel, the room was perfectly adequate with a lovely garden view. Bed was very comfortable plenty of hot water, tea making facilities and the room was warm.”

“Had the most amazing 3 nights stay at this hotel. Our puppy was spoilt from the moment he walked through the door, till the time we left. The staff are really what makes this hotel so fantastic. The food was varied and of a very good quality. We had a superior room which was spacious. The meadow at the back was enjoyed by our puppy who could run free and play off the lead. We liked that he could come into the bar/restaurant and breakfast areas with us.”

“Lovely hotel and staff, great to see so many of the residents being dog owners. Only down side with stay was the dog cleaning facility a better hosing down area would be so beneficial to not feel guilty about taking dirty dog into hotel”

“When we arrived we and our dogs were given a warm welcome. Our dogs could go everywhere in the hotel that we could go. The hotel was extremely clean and tidy and all the staff were lovely and loved our dogs. There was a towel provided for drying the dog's feet and there were always plenty of free treats. There was a large log fire and plenty of comfy seats in the bar area so that you could sit quietly and have a drink from the bar. The food in the restaurant was superb and the cream teas were very nice. There was a lovely walk by the river where you could let your dogs off the lead to have a run. Overall it was a lovely place to stay and we will definitely go again.”
