Panzers in Berlin 1945 is a superb piece of work. The photographs are all fascinating, and most of them I've never seen before. The artworks by Felipe Rodna are a great addition too, and really bring some of the scenes to life. For me though, what makes the book so special are the inclusion of the QR codes which take you to the street scene today. I wish more publications of a 'then and now' format would do this. A word of warning though - purchasing this book might cost you a small fortune as you'll want to go to Berlin and explore yourself!

It's as good as I'd hoped. I've only had it a couple of hours, so here's a quick review. The usual PW large panoramic size photos. Great captions. Plus some unit histories for each tank units in Berlin ; incl strength returns and daily action logs. The subject matter is awesome. So many rare vehicles beautifully rendered. Highlights: 21 different photos of the Borgward Pz.Jg.IV 'Wanze' (the world's 1st missile armed Tank destroyer AFV, now a very common type) . Thats probably every photo there is. Some large clear ones too. Panther F Hulls with G turrets. The final panthers from 22 April, issued to II/ Pz.Rgt.2 Final camos, and that distinctive horizontal glacis interlock. Many images. Panther G infra red, fully kitted with the 20cm IR lamp. Only 1 I've ever seen. Plus a genuine, in use, 251/1 Falke IR SPW . Muni IV and Muni StuG IV. Images of the carnage of the Weidendammer breakout, and Spandau breakout. Tigers, King Tigers, SWS with spoked wheels. You get the idea: Tons of great clear images of rare late AFVs, & their camos and histories. Great research and depth. It's a must have. Bravo: Lee, Robert and Mario. You've made history.
