“I first heard about tiger nuts on the Super Food programme on TV, and because I have been suffering from a digestive problem for some years I thought I would give them a try. They are truly amazing I started off eating the peeled nuts, then having read that there is more soluble fibre in the tiger milk, I am now becoming proficient in making this drink every day with the unpeeled tiger nuts. Not only is it delicious, it really does aid digestion. First of all I soak the tubers overnight in Evian water, then I rinse them and put them into a blender with more Evian water until they have become a coarse pulp. I am fortunate enough to own a Green Star juicer, so I feed them into this. (I use the vegetable strainer over the grinders). The pulp comes out virtually dry and this can be used in place of flour, but I havent got around to this yet I then strain the milk through a pop sock.(one of a pair of knee high tights) into a jar, then screw on the lid and pop it in the fridge, where it will keep for two days, but its always gone long before then (I did try another supplier but the tiger nuts tasted stale.so I returned them). “I have reordered the Tiger nuts as I enjoy the chewy quality and the taste. Im confident they are less calorific than peanuts, etc that would otherwise exercise my jaws during the evening.I remember them from the 60s when KP sold them in bags just like peanuts. They were more succulent and less chewy in my memory but are still to my taste. My daughter snaffled some on her last visit and enjoyed them too. Recommended - these bags cost a heap more than the ones I bought in the 60s but, wow, you get so many more for your money.”

“Very good. Saw these on the TV show super foods. They contain a natural probiotic. I make it into a milk becuse theres something in the Almond milk I buy in the shops thats gives me a contact allergy. I dont get any bad reaction with these. Will buy again.”
