Fantastic Buy!! I decided this morning to fit this exhaust (which came in 3 days) myself after reading a lot of the reviews I was a little nervous. I was all done in under an hour after soaking the nuts in WD40 the day before (strongly recommended) the fitment was absolutely perfect and the gasket fitted just right (make sure you order this). Took her for a spin afterwards and the sound was just perfect, I didn't want a loud boy racer exhaust just wanted it to sound like it should have from day one. If you are looking for a loud racing exhaust this isn't it. The sound is closer to 2001 911 I once had. Tools required: Exhaust, Gasket, Silicone Spray, WD40, Socket Set and rubber mounts.

Read before you buy! Having read many reviews, I speak for October 2013. I have an MK2.5 on a 2005 plate. If you're considering getting the likes of Kwik Fit or National Tyres to carry out this work, check before you buy, you could try Halfords or a local mechanic. You really can do it yourself fairly easy if you try below before you buy. I did mine from a standard 2 tonne jack and some axle stands. The most difficult task is removing the two nuts. Mine were rusted lock tight! Spay the nuts with a good Specialist Release Penetrate, I used standard WD-40 but there are better ones on the market, spray for several hours before you attempt the replacement. The nuts are M12 and the pitch is 1.5. Various other reviews speak of different sizes. You will struggle to get these if you damage them, if MX-5 Spares cannot supply them do not bother with Screwfix, Kwik Fit, B&Q, Car Part suppliers etc as they do not supply a 1.5 pitch. Mazda can supply them but you'll need to order them in, try a local fastenings supplier if MX-5 Parts do not have any in. Once spayed, gently try to release them, if they do not budge, try more penetration. If they still do not budge, enquire at a local car mechanics or do as I did; I rounded the edges and fitted an under sized imperial ratchet by hammering it in place and brutally removed them with all my mightCheck the rubber mounts, order three new ones if they look wornMake sure you order a rear exhaust silencer Gasket (ask which type if you're unsure) If you're in any doubt, send Mark an email and he'll send you links if you're unsure. He is very helpful You can now order your exhaust and have the confidence the work will be completed in no time. Fit the mounts to your exhaust then carry out the installationThis is a quality exhaust and the sound is nice but not unruly. You can now fit an induction kit!

Had this exhaust for over a year now.Not only does it look great but it drastically improves the sound produced from the rear of the car (more noticeable with roof down "obviously").First product i have bought here and definitely not the last :)

Had the new back-box fitted to day.I was very nervous as to whether it was going to be a problem after reading issues other customers had experianced fitting etc.The car is 14 years old and the old exhaust flanges were fairly rusty; so I sprayed penetrating oil on for several consecutive days prior to having it fitted.Result; The nuts came off no problem. The new exhaust fitted perfectlyTook the mechanic (Mazda main dealer) 15 minutes from start to finishSeveral of his colleagues and himself remarked on what a good 'piece of kit' it was.Started up and had the best drive yet ..... sweat music; on tick over there is a beautiful base brroom ... on accelearation or change down of gear there is a superb burble and brroooom.Looks really good aswell ...... Felt guilty buying it but I am so very pleased I did !!!! The car has come into itself !

very nicely made, only a little bit deeper sounding note to it. easy to fit, just be aware of other rust exhaust components that may need changing when fitting it.

ordered the stainless steel exhaust rear silencer single on tuesday at 11.00pm because it was on offer along with the crome style bars, they arrived on thursday morning 9 am all boxed and in perfect conditioni fitted the bars in no time they look mint, i got a freind of mine who has a garage to fit the exhaust, he had to grind off the original bolts because of corrosion but after that the exhaust fit really easy, it looks awsome and sounds great as per reviews. he actually paid more for a different back box on his mx5 and is now going to swap for one of these. the service is excellent will defo recomend.
