Another major bargain from mx5parts! Superb quality, 100% polished Stainless Steel, single exit exhaust for the Mk2 and 2.5. Made exclusively by us, for us, this great exhaust has 57mm main pipework and a 90mm dual sleeve exit pipe. Fits Mk2/2.5 1998>2005 Looks like it should be £300.00 worth. Five year warranty!

“Highly recommend this backbox.Sound: So much better than the stock pipe. Much lower and louder. Not at all conspicuous though or intrusive in town or on motorway. Just a much needed nice tone. Do love a covered car park now: a lovely burble echoes back to you which is very satisfying. Fitting: Extremely easy. Fitted this when car was on stock suspension and was able to get under the car without any jacks. All mates up to the oem midpipe no issues. Just be sure to add some rust release spray on the bolts in good time before lubricate the hangers. Looks: looks great under the car. Looks almost stock. The size and shape is perfectly subtle. Have had on for a year and still looks lovely and shiny too. (I then fitted a Pipercross Induction kit and couldn't hear the back box so much. Have now fitted the centre pipe as well and the three together work great. Sound is balanced along the car as you would expect. I would ultimately recommend getting the whole system for that real impact and enjoyment.)”

“It's a thing of beauty!It arrived next day by DPD in a big box.You'll need some exhaust paste for the gasket if you fit it to the centre section NB2-0325 because they're made by different people...not really a problem though.The sound is fantastic...a low burble at idle and a roar if you give it the beans - you won't get an asbo though!It looks great poking out the back too.Well worth the money.”

“Bought with the stainless centre section to give a stainless cat-back system. Delivery good - ordered just before the BH weekend and they arrived just after. Nice looking bits of kit, although the welding is far from the prettiest out there.All fits together nicely once offered up, although it did take a couple of attempts to get the gasket between the centre section and the rear box to seal all the way around. Once on, sounds lovely - quiet when cruising but a with a faint burble in the background. Gets louder when the fun pedal is pressed though, which is what you want.Would have been nice if there were some washers included with the nuts and bolts - they are only just bigger than the holes they go through. A couple of standard spiral wound gaskets would have also been useful too, as the flange on the cat had rusted quite a bit and the gaskets supplied are only useful when connecting brand new faces.Much better that the old pipe that was on there, but be prepared for some cutting and swearing to get the old one off!”

“Bought this item the other day, delivered within 48 hours as per MX5 Parts usual wonderful service and fitted it in about an hour, applied a bit of heat to the existing nuts which then came off very easily. I recently fitted a K&N Typhoon induction kit and together they sound and perform just great on my 2.5 Sport, what an improvement to my 12 year old car! Very pleased!”

“Superb product, delighted with it! Have it with a pipercross induction kit and working together they sound great. The exhaust looks great and its subtly different without behaving like a wide boy! Took a long while getting the old one off due to the two predictably rusty nuts! I kept spraying them with wd but in the end I had to hack saw and cold chisel them off (top tip1, take off the rear wheel as it helps loads and look after the studs else you'll end up having to get a new centre pipe too). Then came the hard job of finding two nuts with the same pitch thread, not easy and tried lots of places. Refused to pay Autolink prices of £6 per nut and sought advice from local Mazda dealer who came through with their best alternative. (top tip2, the wheel nuts are the same pitch! Yay). Take two wheel nuts, hack saw off the domes, reverse them and put them back on the stainless steel studs from the centre pipe. Once the old exhaust was off, took me no more than 10 mins to get the new one on and ....driving my mk2 is even more of a pleasure. If you're thinking of getting this - do it!Steve”
