High polished chrome covers for the style bars on the Mk3, 3.5 & 3.75. Supplied as a pair, these are a perfect fit and are very easy to install.Fits all convertible and retractable hardtop Mk3, 3.5 & 3.75 models, 2005>2015Fitting Tip: As the product name implies, these are covers. They are not replacement trims. We have designed them this way because the Mazda supplied replacement trims really are hard work to fit. They are a very tight fit over the top of your existing trims. As with anything self adhesive, preparation is very important. You must make sure that the surface of the original covers is completely free from silicone trim cleaner or any form of polish. Use surgical spirit or the like to clean the area first. Then make sure that both the new cover and the original are both at a temperature of at least 20 degrees C, the warmer the better as heat activates the adhesive. The 3Ms tape supplied is designed for this exact job, and if applied correctly is almost impossible to remove! A further fitting tip is that once the covers are applied to car, cable tie them around the hoops in two or three places and leave overnight. This will give the adhesive time to cure properly.

“HiI got these covers this week along with the seat belt trims. I must say the quality of this IL Motorsport is superb, but...... You don't get instructions. It was only because I read the reviews on this item that I know there is an issue with fitment. So I went to the pharmacy, bought a £1.30 bottle of surgical spirit and cleaned the plastic hoops beforehand, and the covers fit, and have stayed fitted, perfectly. This is an excellent item which really peps up the interior of your car, but how about instructions to avoid people being disappointed when they (inevitably) fall off!”

“I received these as a xmas gift from my wife and 2 months later have now fitted them. (Its been too cold to apply)Very easy to fit. You need a temp of at least 10-12 degrees.I used surgical wipe pads to clean the plastic then simply used a heat gun to increase the temp on both the plastic and the 3M tape.Put them in place and presses hard for a few seconds and thats it. SIMPLE.THE KEY TO THIS IS ENSURE THAT YOU CLEAN THE PLASTIC WITH SURGICAL CLEANER OTHERWISE NO MATTER HOW WARM IT IS IT WILL NOT BOND.5 STARS..........”

“Effet chromé sympa mais adhésif de mauvaise qualité .. même en suivant les conseils d'installation et voir plus (j'ai enroulé les "covers" aux arceaux avec du tissu histoire de faire pression pendant 24h.Même comme cela, l'adhésif a commencé à se décoller une semaine après ... je vais voir pour remplacer ce 3M bidon.”

“Ordered these in July , they have just arrived . No primer sent with them so when fitted by my Husband with the 3M tape provided , they simply fell off within 24 hours !! Any chance of sending me some primer and some more tape please MX5 Parts ??Editors Note: There is no primer required to fit these trims, and as long as the surface is cleaned thoroughly with an alcohol based cleaner (surgical spirit for example) and the tape warmed up slightly before fitting these should not come off. We will of course send you some more tape though and also some alcohol wipes which should do the job!”

“Sorry to give this a bad rating--- MX5 PARTS are usually very good at dispatching goods but this is taking the P--- i ORDERED Seat Back Bar Covers Chromed, on the 24th April and now its the 4th July and still no BAR COVERS--- come on MX5 Parts ply the game if your supplier is letting you down go to some one else because you are letting your customers down.”

“Excellent. Note that the covers are side specific, so make sure you do a dry run before removing the tape. Look great on the car, especially in conjunction with the chrome door handle covers.”
