High polished chrome covers for the style bars on the Mk3, 3.5 & 3.75. Supplied as a pair, these are a perfect fit and are very easy to install.Fits all convertible and retractable hardtop Mk3, 3.5 & 3.75 models, 2005>2015Fitting Tip: As the product name implies, these are covers. They are not replacement trims. We have designed them this way because the Mazda supplied replacement trims really are hard work to fit. They are a very tight fit over the top of your existing trims. As with anything self adhesive, preparation is very important. You must make sure that the surface of the original covers is completely free from silicone trim cleaner or any form of polish. Use surgical spirit or the like to clean the area first. Then make sure that both the new cover and the original are both at a temperature of at least 20 degrees C, the warmer the better as heat activates the adhesive. The 3Ms tape supplied is designed for this exact job, and if applied correctly is almost impossible to remove! A further fitting tip is that once the covers are applied to car, cable tie them around the hoops in two or three places and leave overnight. This will give the adhesive time to cure properly.

As previous reviews have stated and like a lot of things - preparation is everything! Following the cleaning of the original bars with the cleaning pad supplied and the liberal application of the primer adhesive aided by a hairdryer to ensure that the bars and the covers were nice and warm (well it was only 7 deg outside when I did this) the covers fited well, enhance the appearance of the car and 'feel' well secured.

These give the car a classic look with the top up or down. Easily fitted using the alcohol wipes first. At speed with the roof down no additional wind noise as the fit closely over the poor satin originals. Why don't Mazda do a chrome special edition car. Still can't buy chrome seat belt top covers for roadster version what a shame.

Ordered on a Friday delivered Saturday morning. Excellent product and really enhances the look, BIG time! Cleaned backs with isopropyl alcohol, stuck covers on and they aint going nowhere, really stuck solid. As others have stated, make sure you clean the backs first. Super service from MX5 parts.

I have to add to my review of 30th June 2013. I do not think I was fair enough to the MX5 team. In no way is this poor finish moulding any fault of theirs, they have even been kind enough to offer a replacement, I must give them top marks for the service they provide. Kind Regards. Eddie.

I should have read more reviews before fitting. I should have noticed the pitting on the mouldings, would have returned them but in too much of a rush to fit them. They do look good as long as you do not look too close. Quality control has let the MX5 team down on this one. Can only give one star, sorry. Thank you.

HiI got these covers this week along with the seat belt trims. I must say the quality of this IL Motorsport is superb, but...... You don't get instructions. It was only because I read the reviews on this item that I know there is an issue with fitment. So I went to the pharmacy, bought a £1.30 bottle of surgical spirit and cleaned the plastic hoops beforehand, and the covers fit, and have stayed fitted, perfectly. This is an excellent item which really peps up the interior of your car, but how about instructions to avoid people being disappointed when they (inevitably) fall off!

I received these as a xmas gift from my wife and 2 months later have now fitted them. (Its been too cold to apply)Very easy to fit. You need a temp of at least 10-12 degrees.I used surgical wipe pads to clean the plastic then simply used a heat gun to increase the temp on both the plastic and the 3M tape.Put them in place and presses hard for a few seconds and thats it. SIMPLE.THE KEY TO THIS IS ENSURE THAT YOU CLEAN THE PLASTIC WITH SURGICAL CLEANER OTHERWISE NO MATTER HOW WARM IT IS IT WILL NOT BOND.5 STARS..........
