Fantastic upgrade, 100% better sound quality compared to my original speakers. The speakers were very easy to fit to my MX5 MKk 1 Eunos. Not an exact fit, but easily fitted. I used two of the speed nuts and two screws through the two lowest positioned holes in the speaker flange to hold the lower half of the speaker in place and a screw through the highest position hole in the speaker flange and directly into the original speaker fixing point.Again, super fast delivery and excellent customer service from the MX5 parts team!

Great speakers in terms of both performance and value for money. Bit of a fiddle to fit in door but worth the head scratching.

Good product, picked up from store so no issues with delivery. They were a bit of a pig to fit my older Mk1, but if you have some balls and a drill they fit fine and sound good. The same product at Halfords (I mean exactly the same) was going for £39.99 then that again to fit them. What would you prefer?

First up, don't rip off the speaker covers to try and fit the speakers!... remove the whole interior door panel.... its easy. Second up, these speakers don't fit, there's no holes in the speaker surround that match the door holes. Removing the original speaker surround is annoying but needed to fit the new speakers as I ended up using the clips supplied to grip and hold the new speaker in place (rather than screw the new speakers surround directly onto the door). It takes patience and some figuring out. These are the first speakers I have ever fitted, I am not good at DIY, It took 60 mins to fit. They sound great and am now happy! for £25+ they are good value too.... Fitted to MK1 1.6i 1997.

I have a G reg Mk1 and found that these speakers do not fit the origional panel holes, when I called mx5parts i was told they are not genuine parts and I had to drill new holes. To drill new holes would have been difficult due to the inner curviture of the speaker aperture. I could have sent them back at my own cost where the postage was not refundable. In the end I used the origional holes by adding large washers to the screws the washers just managed to capture the speaker. In addition the speakers come with very nice covers that are surplus to requirements because the origional door speaker cover has its own speaker cover fixed into it.The speaker themselves are good quality but overall I am not happy. I wanted replacement speakers without any frills (nice redundant covers) that would be a one for one straight fit.

These complete my audio in my Eunos '92 S-Special. The seem to do the job well, i dont have anything to compare them to as i had no sound before!! I first bought some cheap headrest speakers to get started, then thought i'd go a bit further and sort the doors out. They improve the all round sound no end. I (a novice with this sort of thing) managed to install the speakers using all 3 current screw holes and the clamp things that come with the speakers, no drilling required as mentioned in some previous reviews. Here are pictures of before installation http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll236/philmar86/My%20mx5/SNV35448.jpg and after http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll236/philmar86/My%20mx5/SNV35454.jpg when installed - hopefully might help someone! The red and green wire connects to the +ve and the red and white wire to -ve on the speaker (on my eunos anyway!). I had to strip the wire back a bit further then loop it through each terminal on the speaker, and cover with a bit of electrical tape. Test it before you screw it to the door and put the door card back on!! 5 stars, as they sound good enough to me, and they fit perfectly!!

Just fitted these speakers, sound is very good indeed, my daughter is now very happy, like before just snip wires and splice the new ones together, bit of insulating tape, when aligning speakers to doors, I simply bent back the tabs were the holes lined up, all three did and used three small washers under original screws, job done.

easy to fit.remove cover from old speakers by gently levering ,they can be removed without damage.the three holes on speakers are on slightly different centres to door mount. I cut clips supplied in half to make rectangular washers .with these i clamped the speakers using the 3 original mountings in door.it took longer to think about it than do itquality is great
