IL Motorsport Front Chassis Brace BarThis chassis brace was designed by a NASCAR chassis engineer for maximum rigidity. Each brace can be fitted in minutes and uses existing mounting holes. Even better, as you do not have to disturb any suspension mountings, there is no need to have wheel alignment carried out after fitting. These braces are now made for us in Europe allowing us to both reduce the price and monitor quality control thereby bringing you a better product at a better price!Fits Mk1, Mk2 & 2.5 models, 1989>2005Please Note: This will NOT fit Mk2 & 2.5 6 speed models unless you remove the rear gearbox under tray.Fitting Instructions

An absolute 'must' buy. Five minutes to fit (I did have the benefit of the car being on a hoist) & makes a noticable difference to the car. Sharpens up turn in slightly & greatly improves scuttle shake. My car already had the rear brace & a cockpit brace. Note. There is just enough room to slide in a 17mm open end spanner to hold the bolt head whilst securing nyloc nut with ratchet. There is no need for cranked or bent spanners. Straight forward job.

Great quality product.. However had a bit of an issue with my 2003 Sport... running between the mounting holes for this brace I have a shield covering the underside of the gear box and this was in the way.. Luckily I managed to undo it and get my brace underneath it.. bolted the shield over the brace and done.. Apart from that it fits great.. very happy with it..Again Excellent service from MX5parts.. super speed delivery as normal.. cheers guys

Had these fitted to my sons K Reg Eunos, along with Bilstein dampers ( second hand e bay) and new bump stops plus and also front and rear chassis underbody braces along with an under bonnet Front chassis brace. (make sure you remeber to get the front mounting gaskets) The car rides on 17" ALLOYS with Yokohama tyres. The handeling is transformed to put it mildly yes it is bumpy and the local speed bumps are a pain , but it is now low and the steering very responsive, down side is mainly you hit a pothole you do know about it. The chassis is now very stiff but it is like driving a racing car ( I have done some motorsport in the past). Personally it is too stiff for for me but for a car mad 18 year old it is like a Go Kart. Personally I think it has become worse in the wet but on a dry day and good road it goes wonderfully . My favourite mechanic Dave fitted it all fro us and came back with the interesting fact that the front springs where mixture one correct and one that was clearly the longer back one, so the car had been bodged at some time in the past. Explains the front end wander next job fit the Veilside front bumper , then get the alignment and tracking checked over ! Many thanks as usual to MX5 spare all parts always arrived quickly and also thansk fro the tecgnical advice as the first front coil removed by Dave was the incorrect was the incorrect long one which caused him soem head scrtaching and phone call. I will post this on the front and back braces section as well, doing all at once is a good idea. Chris Meadows

I have got the Front Chassis Brace and the Back Chassis Brace ordered a while a go, as always fast delivery (usually 2-3 days to Holland :-) )and good instructions.I didn't really believe it would make any difference, but after fitting the braces front and back and a test drive in my miata MK1 from 1989 i was surprised.Far better road performance cornering etc. a must have for al MK1 Mazda's.And everyone with a bit of technical skills can fit these no problem.
