“Good package. Totally eradicates the knotchy gear changes I was suffering from (1_2 & R)45min job max, well worth doing.Delivery bloody superb as always.”

“Good delivery and service from MX5parts but only made a small change to the gear shift. Still notchy going from 1st to 2nd but at least I have nice new shiny shift boots!”

“My son was complaining about the gearbox baulking between secong & third, so having read some forums I came to the conclusion that new boots where needed. Usual great delivery service from Mx5 spares, so as well as carrying out a service on a nice week end I changed these units.Best advice use this link if you are not sure as to what you are doing (which I was not) www.planetmx5.com/shift_boots its great. The gear change is now like a rifle bolt as the old units where very,very worn out and split.”

“Both my boots where worn through. I was glad I read the previous reviews before I tried to fit these - sound advice where no instructions are included. My gear change is still a little notchy so don't expect miracles but it's definately smoother and the road noise is reduced quite significantly.Getting the old nylon cup off the ball of the gearstick was a task but I found a pair of pincers and some care did the job.”

“Not so hard to fit.It'll transform the feel of the gear change as the car's original boots tend to desintegrate after a few years.Reasonable price.”

“Makes changing gear a pleasure again!!!! As others have said lubricate the shaft. And the nylon cup is best cut off. if you notice that either boot is split don`t hesitate to replace.YOU WILL NOTICE THE CHANGE (no pun intended)!!!!”
