“Ordered Tuesday arrived Wednesday morning, fitted Wednesday evening. Simple job completed in 20 minutes. I didn't know it needed doing but both gaiters were shot so hoping to notice a difference. All the parts fitted easily and well.There's a YouTube how to by MX5 Parts to show you what to do.”

“This has got to be one of the easiest jobs and which gives a very satisfying result. Didn’t realise how notchy and noisy my gear changes were until this was fitted. The gear changes are now smooth and quiet with no heat coming from the stick, gaiter or console. Well worth the price.”

“Very well made as to be expected. A little tricky to fit onto the gear stick but a little washing up liquid helped with that.If you are getting heat from the transmission tunnel your gearleaver shift boot has likely split. Worth checking even if not - replacing it will likely reduce dirt and road noise too.”

“After suffering excess heat from the gear box in the cabin I ordered a replacement gear lever boot set. Excellent quality from Mazda and service from MX5 Parts. An easy job to install the boots. The only bit of faffing was draining and replacing the turret oil. Gear box now much smoother. Result.”

“Just fitted to my 1994 eunos as the gear shift was a bit notchy, old boots perished but after 24 years they should be..my old bushing was still in good knick still surprises me how well Mazda built these cars, but after fitting new kit a vast improvement nice slick gear change...I can highly recommend purchasing this, as we all know the gear change in an mx5 is a thing of beauty and for 40 quid its a must.”

“I fitted this kit as my old boots were torn. I had heard that new boots reduced heat getting into the cockpit but hadn't realised that they also made the car quieter inside as they prevented gearbox noise being transmitted. Easy to fit and I changed the turret oil at the same time although I have not really noticed any difference in the feel of the gearchange.”
