About Mooncup:

Mooncup began with a clear goal: to give people a healthier, sustainable way to manage their periods.

Back in 2002, we launched the world’s first medical-grade silicone menstrual cup, pioneering a movement that put health and the planet first. We saw an industry where profit came before people, ingredients were hidden, and plastics reigned, so we challenged the status quo.

Now, we're on a mission to become the world’s biggest sustainable period care brand. We’ve just launched Mooncup period pads into Sainsbury’s, Boots, Holland & Barrett and Look Fantastic. We’re also partnering with workplaces, gyms and hotels (like Canva, Danone, Third Space, Gymshark and Claridge’s) to offer free period care in bathrooms.

We use only science-backed, body-safe ingredients because your period products should work with your body, not against it.

First time trying this I had no time to practice Bc I needed it right then and there lol but saved my life I will not use tampons anymore so easy to use, only downside I picked the wrong size so definitely go off the sizing directions but otherwise every female should know about this product.

I use my mooncup twice a month, first during ovulation when I'm trying to conceive and then again during my period as I cry over not being pregnant. All joking aside, this product is so much cleaner thank bulky pads, especially when I'm sleeping. It also gives me an alternative to tampons (as tanpons can effect fertility by changing your natural PH cycle)I'm really hoping one day I won't have to use this product (for at least 9 months) but until then Its my little treasure.

I was very nervous about using the mooncup but really unhappy about the waste produced by tampons and pads. The first time was a bit strange and gory and well gross but after a while I quickly got used to it. I am happy I made the switch, it's so environmentally friendly that a bit of initial yuckiness is worth it.

Great product, once I cut the tab to the right length it's comfortable. The only thing I don't like is emptying it in public (last resort) it can be a little bit messy... Let's just say it's ok if you've got a private toilet with a sink.... Maybe save it until your home lolPenny saver but not for the squeamish or faint hearted.

perfect for non heavy days but too small and holds too little for my heavy days, if they made this bigger i would buy it ,perfect hardness and shape for me feels very comfortable but like i said its just too small for my heavy days which are 7 of the days in my 9 day monthly saying that i have a very heavy period compare to most people , also this only hold 20ml to the suction holes if you are regularly heavy i recommend you look for a larger like 30ml to the suction wholes best a Me-luna large or xl cup which sadly is not available on Amazon but if you need one on Amazon the Eva cup large is 30ml to suction holes is the largest legitimate cup i have found on here and not too expensive which i have ordered and waiting for it , will leave a review on there when used it for a few months hope this helped someone.

I thought I would wait a while before leaving a review of the moon cup so that I could give an honest review over a period of time (excuse the pun!!). Overall I think this a great product- it has completely revolutionalised sanitary protection and is the best invention since the tampon. I have now been using the mooncup for over a year. I can have heavy periods and the mooncup holds more than a tampon so it's great for that. It has saved me a great deal of money on buying tampons. However I have still been using towels on the heavier days. Having said that I did this with tampons. As far as inserting the mooncup goes I did find it took a little getting used to. I have found at times that I have had leaks probably because it wasn't inserted correctly. Having said that this can happen with tampons. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is not about the product but where you can use it. You really need to either be at home or have a toilet at work that has a sink in the cubicle with it. This is because when you take the mooncup out you will have bloody hands and need to rinse it. If the sink at your work place is located in the toilet cubicle then that's ok otherwise if not you will have to put the mooncup back in without rinsing it- but you will have bloody hands which you will need to wash in the public area of the loos. This would apply to public toilets too. Luckily I work mostly from home so it's not an issue for me but one to consider if you are thinking of buying a mooncup.

It is small, reliable with no leackage. I have already recommend it to many ladies!!!! I should have tried it sooner. It helps to minimise the flow and pain :)You will feel cleaner, with no odour being released and you also avoid any rash from the sanitary pads.It feels more comfortable than a tampon. You either clean it with clean water, or wipe with a clean tissue if uncertain for the quality of the water. There is no need to remove it every time you use the toilet. You will get to learn on how to use it and how often you need to empty it.When your are finished with it, for the month, you can wash it with warm water and store it in its carry bag until next time. You may find it a bit awkward using it but once you do use it you are going to love it. It holds up to 13ml of liquid. There are two technics of how to insert or remove it and you need to find, by practice, which one is more confortable for you.By using it, it saved me lots of trips to the toilet when away from home. Surely, I recommend it to every one.

I wasn't going to buy one of these going by the terrible reviews but I'm glad I did.The freedom of not wearing tampons and pads which will still soak my underwear is great. I don't need to wear horrible pants whenever I have my period and never feel self conscious about wetness or smell. The instructions on the leaflet are simple and clear. I don't understand how some women have had such disastrous experiences including leaking and pain. I originally cut the pull tab off completely as it had rubbed and nipped but found the cup had moved further inside. I thought I wouldn't be able to get the cup out but the technique I use is to tense as if doing pelvic floor exercises and it will push down so I can take it out.It has never been an inconvenience when I've been out to empry and clean and dont find it gross at all. The cup only needs to be changed every 12 hours. If youre going to be going out shopping or out for the night then simply clean the cup out before you leave and when you get home!I have heavy periods and have never even half filled the cup so I question some women who say they filled the cup in a few hours and it leaked. 13ml is the half way point of the cup. It's quite good to see measurements on the cup so you can keep a better track of your flow and know roughly how much blood you're losing per period and know where in your period you are. For me who has very irregular periods this is good for me. There's no need to buy boxes of different absorbancies, one cup us all you need. The instructions say it takes a few days to get used to insertion but within a day I was used to it and it was totally fine. I practiced using the different techniques mentioned in the instructions and found the one that best suited me. Mooncup also have videos of techniques on their website and its not any more hassle than unwrapping a tampon, pulling it out and inserting. It's easier, less mess and less rubbish.I'm yet to have any incidences of spilling blood everywhere or having blood on my hands like most terrible reviews have stated. I don't think these women really have much of a clue about their anatomy if they can't take a cup out which is similar to removing a tampon.
