About Mooncup:

Mooncup began with a clear goal: to give people a healthier, sustainable way to manage their periods.

Back in 2002, we launched the world’s first medical-grade silicone menstrual cup, pioneering a movement that put health and the planet first. We saw an industry where profit came before people, ingredients were hidden, and plastics reigned, so we challenged the status quo.

Now, we're on a mission to become the world’s biggest sustainable period care brand. We’ve just launched Mooncup period pads into Sainsbury’s, Boots, Holland & Barrett and Look Fantastic. We’re also partnering with workplaces, gyms and hotels (like Canva, Danone, Third Space, Gymshark and Claridge’s) to offer free period care in bathrooms.

We use only science-backed, body-safe ingredients because your period products should work with your body, not against it.

“This was my first time using one of these and I have to say I'm very impressed with this new way. You just have to be very careful when taking it out, but once you are used to that it is a very good alternative and definitely works out to be cheaper over time.”

“The cup is high quality as I would expect from this brand. It is tricky to insert if you are a beginner but there are instructions included in the pack, along with a little bag for handbag storage. The cup is easy to clean and comfortable once inserted correctly. It is a daunting product to try first time, but once you are used to it, it is a lifesaver. Really like the fact that it can be reused, thus saving a packet on pads and tampons. Depending on your flow, it may need to be changed after a few hours.”

“Love Mooncups and had been using them for years though I did stop once I had children so wanted to start using them again so picked a beginner A cup in the post 30+ size. The cup is really soft silicone and very comfortable to wear. It fits securely without moving around and leaking and is easy to insert and remove safely to empty (though there is a small learning curve to getting it to sit right). It's also very easy to clean and sterilise too. The great thing about Mooncups is that they're really easy to look after and can be reused. An excellent product, a good price (and will save you a lot of money in the long term) and recommended.”

“Item title: Mooncup Beginner Menstrual Cup Super Soft Easy Insertion Size A Delivered price with Prime: £23.75 How is it packaged?: Retail Box My comments and opinion: I decided to try the Mooncup Beginner Menstrual Cup and I’m pleasantly surprised. It’s made from soft, medical-grade silicone, making it easy to insert and remove. The cup holds more fluid than tampons, so I don’t need to worry about changing it as often. It’s comfortable and doesn’t cause dryness like tampons. The only downside is getting used to the insertion, but overall, it’s a good alternative to traditional products. I’m happy with it and appreciate the eco-friendly aspect.”

“The Mooncup Beginner Menstrual Cup (Size A) is a super soft and flexible option, making it easy to insert and comfortable to wear. It's a great choice for beginners, with a design that provides a secure fit and good leak protection. The medical-grade silicone feels gentle, and it's an eco-friendly alternative to disposable products. While there is a learning curve, it's well worth it. At £23.75, it’s a good investment for a reliable and reusable menstrual cup.”

“My wife had been curious about menstrual cups for a while, so she decided to give this one a try. The Mooncup comes in different sizes depending on age and whether you’ve had a vaginal birth. Since this was the smaller size, it suited her perfectly. It arrived in a small cardboard box with a cotton storage pouch and clear instructions, including pictures. The cup itself is a pale pink, super soft, and flexible. To insert it, you fold the opening, pop it in, and it springs open inside to form a seal. Wetting it first with water or water-based lubricant helps a lot. It took her a bit of practice to get the positioning right, but once in, it stayed put with no leaks. She loves that it can stay in for up to 12 hours, holds more than pads or tampons, and is more cost-effective in the long run. Plus, it’s far better for the environment. The only downside is the initial price before knowing if it’ll work for you, and ideally, having two would be handy. Verdict? She’s a convert and won’t be going back to disposables anytime soon!”

“Mooncup Beginner Menstrual Cup Super Soft Easy Insertion Size A Price £23.75 I've had an interest in these since they first came onto the market, but never took the plunge to try. I have been using this the past couple of days after watching loads of tips and tricks videos. It was pretty tricky to get in at first but with some patience and perseverance I did manage, it was quick tricky to master and was going to give up. Getting it out was a whole other challenge and was very messy but I'm sure with more practice I will get there. Overall it is quite costly but if you put that against pads, tampons etc over the year it works out so much cheaper in the long run and is obviously better for the environment. I haven't felt comfortable enough to only use this option but I'm sure the more i practice and get into a routine with it I will.”
