About Mooncup:

Mooncup began with a clear goal: to give people a healthier, sustainable way to manage their periods.

Back in 2002, we launched the world’s first medical-grade silicone menstrual cup, pioneering a movement that put health and the planet first. We saw an industry where profit came before people, ingredients were hidden, and plastics reigned, so we challenged the status quo.

Now, we're on a mission to become the world’s biggest sustainable period care brand. We’ve just launched Mooncup period pads into Sainsbury’s, Boots, Holland & Barrett and Look Fantastic. We’re also partnering with workplaces, gyms and hotels (like Canva, Danone, Third Space, Gymshark and Claridge’s) to offer free period care in bathrooms.

We use only science-backed, body-safe ingredients because your period products should work with your body, not against it.

I bought the original one from Boots but I found it wasn't for me. The original one was too hard and I didn't feel comfortable when putting it in and out. Then I contacted customer service they offered an alternative for a beginner one. This one is way better. The sillicon is way softer and easy to put in and out. I had no hard feeling when using it anymore. Thanks for their great after sell service. One tip is watch more videos on YouTube which teach you how to use it. However I don't recommend virgin to use it, unless you know your body quite well.

Purchased the wrong size, had to return it, but I have the correct size and it’s great, no leakage, easy to use after a few tries

Big fan of this cup. It’s the softest I’ve found so is comfortable and very flexible.I found others too rigid.I’m 36 with a baby so it’s not just for young folk!Though I imagine it is also a very good intro cup as it’s so soft.

I was so nervous to use this but it’s honestly changed my life. The learning curve is reaaaaaal. It took two cycles to get fully comfortable inserting and removing it. Reading the instructions carefully helped, and so did practicing when I wasn’t on my period. Once it was in correctly, though, I couldn’t feel a thing. It sits lower than a tampon, and the suction makes it secure. I’ve had zero leaks, even on heavier days. Gogogo!

I had wanted to try a sustainable menstrual product for years but delayed, largely due to misconceptions about using one on the go. My guilt around using disposable products came to a head and I decided to try a mooncup. Well...I wish I'd been using one since my 20s! Easy to use and clean, leak-free protection overnight, and a more honest relationship with my period. Never going back to tampons...!

This is such a brilliant reflection and we’re so glad you made the switch! 🩵 Here’s to leak-free nights, less guilt, and a way better relationship with your period. (And yep… once you go cup, you never go back 😌)
The Mooncup® Beginner Menstrual Cup in Size A is a solid choice if you’re new to cups or have a lighter flow. The “super soft” material really helps with insertion and comfort, which is a big plus when you’re getting used to it. It’s less rigid than some other cups, so it molds better to your body.Getting the hang of any menstrual cup takes a bit of practice, but this one’s design makes that learning curve a bit smoother. It definitely provides reliable leak protection once you get the seal right, and it’s so much more comfortable than traditional products, especially for longer wear. Plus, it’s reusable, so it’s a great eco-friendly and cost-effective option in the long run. Just follow the instructions for insertion and removal, and you should be good to go.
