About Mooncup:

Mooncup began with a clear goal: to give people a healthier, sustainable way to manage their periods.

Back in 2002, we launched the world’s first medical-grade silicone menstrual cup, pioneering a movement that put health and the planet first. We saw an industry where profit came before people, ingredients were hidden, and plastics reigned, so we challenged the status quo.

Now, we're on a mission to become the world’s biggest sustainable period care brand. We’ve just launched Mooncup period pads into Sainsbury’s, Boots, Holland & Barrett and Look Fantastic. We’re also partnering with workplaces, gyms and hotels (like Canva, Danone, Third Space, Gymshark and Claridge’s) to offer free period care in bathrooms.

We use only science-backed, body-safe ingredients because your period products should work with your body, not against it.

Good ethical product. Works as expected. Well made and the packaging is exceptional.Combined with the cleaning cup this is a nice little set, but easy to clean on its own.Would recommend if you’re in the market and looking to save money long term.

This was my first time using one of these and I have to say I’m very impressed with this new way. You just have to be very careful when taking it out, but once you are used to that it is a very good alternative and definitely works out to be cheaper over time.

The cup is high quality as I would expect from this brand. It is tricky to insert if you are a beginner but there are instructions included in the pack, along with a little bag for handbag storage. The cup is easy to clean and comfortable once inserted correctly. It is a daunting product to try first time, but once you are used to it, it is a lifesaver. Really like the fact that it can be reused, thus saving a packet on pads and tampons. Depending on your flow, it may need to be changed after a few hours.

Love Mooncups and had been using them for years though I did stop once I had children so wanted to start using them again so picked a beginner A cup in the post 30+ size. The cup is really soft silicone and very comfortable to wear. It fits securely without moving around and leaking and is easy to insert and remove safely to empty (though there is a small learning curve to getting it to sit right). It’s also very easy to clean and sterilise too. The great thing about Mooncups is that they’re really easy to look after and can be reused. An excellent product, a good price (and will save you a lot of money in the long term) and recommended.

Item title: Mooncup Beginner Menstrual Cup Super Soft Easy Insertion Size ADelivered price with Prime: £23.75How is it packaged?: Retail BoxMy comments and opinion: I decided to try the Mooncup Beginner Menstrual Cup and I’m pleasantly surprised. It’s made from soft, medical-grade silicone, making it easy to insert and remove. The cup holds more fluid than tampons, so I don’t need to worry about changing it as often. It’s comfortable and doesn’t cause dryness like tampons. The only downside is getting used to the insertion, but overall, it’s a good alternative to traditional products. I’m happy with it and appreciate the eco-friendly aspect.

My wife had been curious about menstrual cups for a while, so she decided to give this one a try. The Mooncup comes in different sizes depending on age and whether you’ve had a vaginal birth. Since this was the smaller size, it suited her perfectly. It arrived in a small cardboard box with a cotton storage pouch and clear instructions, including pictures. The cup itself is a pale pink, super soft, and flexible. To insert it, you fold the opening, pop it in, and it springs open inside to form a seal. Wetting it first with water or water-based lubricant helps a lot. It took her a bit of practice to get the positioning right, but once in, it stayed put with no leaks. She loves that it can stay in for up to 12 hours, holds more than pads or tampons, and is more cost-effective in the long run. Plus, it’s far better for the environment. The only downside is the initial price before knowing if it’ll work for you, and ideally, having two would be handy.Verdict? She’s a convert and won’t be going back to disposables anytime soon!
