“I can't imagine a better D flute for the price. Dixon has nailed it. It is actually my favourite at the moment. It is very light and easy to handle, which I appreciate when playin the C. The low D pops out and sounds great. I prefer it to a much more expensive rosewood flute that I have. If you are getting into Irish Trad, I highly recommend the TB014.”

“The flute arrived in good condition and within the time specified. In terms of ease of use, well, it is quite difficult to play. The finger holes are widely spaced even for someone like me who has a 9 inch span. the tone is very good but the tuning is a bit iffy. Going between octaves is not easy. If you perservere you can get a very good tone and tune out of it. But I am now looking to upgrade to a wooden flute oa higher quality.”

“I bought this to see if I could get a note out of a flute at all, without spending £100’s. I could, so then bought a higher spec model. It’s fine for starters but being one piece, isn’t very flexible grip wise, but I knew that!”
