“This fitting was purchased to replace an existing 5ft flourescent light. The old light had, like all others I have worked on, a central wiring inlet hole. This fitting however has its wiring inlet hole at one end, which is a pain if you want to install it in the same position as the old fitting. I ended up boring a new central hole in the back plate to insert the wiring through so that I could keep the fitting in its central position on the ceiling.”
