“sadly this item wasnt for me as it does not have netflix or britbox on it so sent it back for a refund, it is a very good product , if in the future it does get those on board i will definitely buy another”
“Unable to EASILY connect external speakers directly to the recorder output like earlier models.
Why do Humax always swap some of the remote buttons around every time I purchase a new model. (This is my fifth) I can't really use a number of the new features without opening an account with Google..... which I won't do. There are a few good improvements but they are far outweighed by the above defects.”
“Great pvr, we upgraded our old system as we wanted the ability to record more programs at the same time. The system takes a couple of weeks to get used to. The extra features, functionality and menus could confuse some people. I like the Aura app, as I can sit in another room and watch a recording on my phone if my wife is watching something else (only works on the same network). Catchup on freeview with iPlayer (and the othes) is easy. I would definitely recommend this recirder. Shame there is no netflix but that's built into my LG tv.”
“I am astonished that Humax have asked me to write a review considering the poor quality of service (the review request must be a computer generated error). We bought the recorder two weeks ago, it did not work. Requested a new machine, which arrived a few days later, it did not work! HDMI problem. One week has elapsed since informing the company about the problem, with no joy, I have had to resort to giving them seven days notice to give me a machine that works or my money back. I have been more than patient!”
“Humax support is readily available.
The Aura & the related App are good, but I have a few issues to iron out.
The remote operation of AN & on/off for TV did not setup whilst following setup instructions - correct TV selected, but a 6 digit code instead of 3 digit code was displayed and no screen was displayed for entering the code.
A recorded program was converted to mobile. But this conversion cannot be found listed anywhere.”
“My new Humax Aura 4k 2TB Freeview Play recorder is a wonderful clever machine. I can record 4 stations at the same time, and I can set recordings remotely with my phone app. I am not a couch potato by any means, but I also have a 3 year old Humax Freesat recorder, and a 10 year old Humax Freesat recorder...both working brilliantly and still in use.”
