I bought this recorded for two reasons: firstly my wife hated the user-interface on our smart TV so we wanted a media box that would make it easier to navigate and access the content we wanted and get information on the programmes we may want to watch. It ticked that box and my wife is now happy so I am happy!! Secondly since getting rid of Virgin TV services we couldn't record anything and had to rely on Catchup services such as iPlayer and ITV hub for most of our viewing. These are great and available through the Humax box but we found we often missed things we wanted to watch such as films or series that didn't appear on catchup. The Humax box makes it easy to find and schedule recordings up to a week in advance and series link makes sure we don't miss the next episode. I bought the 1 TB box and I'm amazing by the recording capacity. We have recorded loads (30+) films in HD over the Christmas period and this only taken up a very small percentage of the total recording capacity.
My only gripe is it doesn't have the Amazon Prime app which would mean all my tv viewing could be through this one box and this could be fixed with a software update but that is a small problem that can be easily worked around.
Over all top product with a great user interface and comes highly recommended.”

Setup was really easy and really pleased with the simplicity of use.
The only issue I can see is that Amazon prime dosnt appear to be supported.”
“Very easy to set up, good wifi connection. Good picture quality.
Not as fast changing channels or as good a programme guide as Virgin v6 but it's all ours and almost as good. So we are quite happy with it so far.”
