“The box does everything it should and is easy to set-up and use.
The reason I only gave it 4stars is that it was advertised that you could use an app on the phone or tablet which allows you to set recordings and/or play them. The app has been withdrawn from the app store and Humax say that are working on it. I think that they had problems and have no intentions to update or replace the app or offer an alternative so Humax only get 1 star.”
“The unit would not record programmes. It was shipped with a HDD that was 97% full and the software would not allow formatting nor would Factory reset achieve anything. Contacted the company who immediately agreed to a replacement but that took 10 days to arrive (Christmas and New Year intervened)”
“Bought two. One did not work and had to be sent back, causing me lots of hassle to return it and get my money back. Will not buy refurbished again. Will almost certainly go to Richer Sounds to buy new if I need to in future.”
“This freeview play recorder is great, it does even more than I need it to and is so easy to use. You can record 4 programmes and watch another. It looks good and doesn't take up too much room and I can record loads of stuff on its 1 TB hard drive”
