“My Freesat recorder was delivered with a faulty network port, because of this it was not possible to connect the unit to the internet with a network cable. It also frequently flashes up an annoying "Network cable plugged/unplugged message" when you are watching TV.
When I reported this issue to Humax they told me that they would swap my faulty product for a new one, however they didn't have any stock. I was surprised as they were still showing stock of the same unit for sale on their website.
Despite contacting customer support several times, I am still waiting for a replacement nearly 2 months after the original purchase.”
“Horrendous company to deal with. Unit we bought lasted only 4 hours, but that was just the beginning of the nightmare to return it and get our money back. Customer service does not exist at Humax, so be aware if you have any problems. Agents are rude, blunt and really don’t want to hear your problem or help in any way.”
“Worth the money ... But comes with a couple of niggles... when powering up unit first page is launched with tv guide ... NO good if using LOGITECH HARMONY to enable ALEXA voice control... no way to turn this function off... I want the unit to launch full screen with last channel watched...ALSO you've provided NETFLIX but NO Amazon Video Prime in APPS ... WHY?????”
“After purchasing one for ourselves, my friend fell in love with it, and got me to order the HDR-1100S for him, he's hooked! Before he moved to South Wales, he had a basic subscription from a well known Cable operator which was around 70 channels, now he's spoilt for choice with the bonus of catch-up TV to!

“This is a perfectly fine recorder. However the technology doesn’t really appear to have advanced much and the functionality uplift when compared to the Humax FoxSat is minimal. It is easier to use, faster, more intuitive menus but not being able to record from catch-up tv is a bit of an own goal.”
“Excellent piece of kit can't see the difference this and a new one. The online manual is easy to follow but still trying to get the tv to work with the remote, I'll eventually find the right code. My only disappointment was finding out that I could not access the catch up service on channel 4, I realise that this is not a Humax problem it must be something to do with licensing. All in all well satisfied and would certainly recommend the product.”
