“Box failed within an hour of use. Design styling of exterior truly awful and didn't fit with anything else in room. Not a patch on quality of earlier Human products . Gone very plasticy. Not impressed. Not much choice in UK market for quality Freesat box.I have managed to repair old Humax unit so on borrowed time until it finally gives up the ghost. Hopefully a quality unit will be available for UK market soon, as I live in an area with no Terrestrial Tv and very poor Internet access. I guess people are going Sky or Internet for TV.”

“Excellent. Fast delivery and the product is like new. Very pleased allround especially as my better half is happy . The programme guide takes a bit of getting used to it but after a couple of weeks playing with the remote, all is well. It works well with my LG Magic remote as well.”
“Very pleased with this purchase , which is the third Humax PVR I have had. Good quality video and excellent programme guide. easy to set up recordings and play them back but would be even better if recordings on the same channel on the same day showed the time of recording No problem connecting and tuning to my redundant Sky dish. Button layout on remote is a bit clumsy and takes a while to get used to: Although the on screen Help section is very good if I try to play a video guide e.g. internet connection guide, a "file not supported" message comes up.
Verdict : Excellent quality construction and finish , cannot tell it is refurbished (apart from previous user's name still stored - easily deleted) and great saving on new price. Despite the above minor niggles would thoroughly recommend it”
“Having used freesat now since it's inception many years ago I am totally impressed with it and it has saved me a fortune. Since the beginning I have always used the Humax Foxsat HDR boxes which are extremely reliable and have never given me any issues. As with all technology they become outdated and are replaced with more upto date software. That is where the Foxsat boxes became lacking in that On Demand services were no longer compatible and I needed a separate TV box in order to access the likes of Iplayer, ITV player, etc... which was okay for a while but now Humax has embraced this with it's next generation of set top boxes.
I have recently bought the Humax Freesat HDR 1100S 1TB (refurbished) online direct from Humax Direct for £169. I received it very quickly, only 2 days delivered free. Straight out of the box I was over the moon as it looked and operated like it was brand new. Very easy to set up and works brilliantly, Just as good as Sky Q or Virgin boxes. Loads of FREE on demand apps pre-installed and runs flawlessly. 1TB storage means tons of space for recording your favorite series or movies. Even better for me is the fact that unlike the previous generation of boxes you could only connect external Hard Drive that was Fat32 which is obviously limited!! With my new box I can connect any external HDD and see or stream from it without issue and also copy directly to it very easily from the Humax Box.
Overall I am over the moon with my purchase and cannot fault the box. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS MODEL OF HUMAX BOX FOR IT'S QUALITY AND GREAT VALUE.”
