“Arrived looking as new, plugged in and programmed up with no issues and set to record some shows. When I tried to replay the shows there was no sound, and it was out of normal support helpline hours. Looked on the web to see there was a firmware update from over a year ago needed to fix the HDMI “no sound” fault. This meant downloading to a usb stick from a PC. Why was this not done before it left the factory as a manufacturer refurb?? To be fair, after the firmware fix it is a great machine, but I am very disappointed in Humax and their lack of attention to detail.”

“This was purchased to replace a failed Digistream pvr. The Humax works well but is lacking in several respects. it is slow to create a signal when first switched on. The fact that it gives no indication of recording when a timed programme is actually working is not helpful (indicator glows red when on standby or in timer recording mode). the epg is very narrow in its timescale. The colour on the display should be reversed ie. blue when on standby/timer recording as the large red display is more intrusive. In all other aspects this machine equals/exceeds my old digistream”
