The world renowned Kizer Vagnino Zipslip is now available as a Heinnie® Exclusive. In collaboration with the designer Michael Vagnino and Kizer we have added some new features to create this exciting new UK friendly folder.
The handle, of course, features the Heinnie® red G10 handle whilst a newly formed blade shape creates a compact design and very practical Every Day Carry tool. The deep carry, removable pocket clip is made from stainless steel and will keep your knife close to through out your working day.
Blade cut outs have been replaced with ambidextrous thumb studs for one handed opening and a double detent lessens the risk of accidental closure during use. The blade is made from 154CM stainless steel and features the Heinnie® 'H' logo. The knife is supplied with a Kizer sticker and cleaning cloth and six replacement screws.

This looks and feel great and is super sharp on arrival. I was hoping this would be the knife that replaced my Boker XS due to the perfect size and shape of the blade with a comfortable grip. Unfortunately this knife is a little stif on the opening and with the small thumb studs which feesl a bit sharp when opening. If you could replace the thumb studs for the ones on the Boker this could be my No.1 knife

I haven't had the chance to put it to work but first impressions the thumb stud is in wrong place. Have difficulty opening it with 1 hand also doesn't come with torque toll to tighten .looks quality extremely sharp out of the box

Well after reading all the so called problems of the thumb studs I really was on the fence about this knife. No offence to all those of you that are struggling but you are doing something wrong. Yes this is not going to be a flipping easy fidget toy but all you need to do it push the thumb studs upwards towards the blade instead of out from the handle and have a thumb that's not made out of cotton wool and BANG it opens !! If you're a traditional knife person then you want be used to this sort of opening method and you will think your thumb has broken lol. It is a excellent knife which after 2 days I can flick completely open no problem and I have arthritis ( not sever but int fingers and thumb are not as strong as they was )Honestly I can flick it open no problem, you lot really need to get some hang d skin on them thumbs . No offence intended to anyone but you just really need to get used to it and let it break in a bit before slamming it so hard as it's a great knife for legal carry in our over controlled country.

I love the subtle difference in shape, more pokey and still one handed open, I actually thinks it better.

Just wanted to side with those who find the puny thumb stud not really adequate to the task (despite Heinnie saying that they tested it before production and had no problems). The stud on the Boker Plus XS is much beefier and I have no problem opening the knife despite the serious back spring. Having a stud that doesn't stand proud of the (very thick) liner doesn't make sense to me. As it happens, mine was also not up to the sharpness standard that one might expect. That being said, the shape of the blade is a thing of beauty and the non-moving back spring is kind of a fun novelty.

I've had this just over a week, here are my thoughts. It's a nice handle, and blade shape. The finger cut out does allow for a nice 4 fingerer grip. It's quite heavy, but not horribly so. As plenty of reviewers have said, this does close easily, which for me is not a problem, as my use for a slipjoint is for light duties, and this is perfect for that. So what's the issue?? The thumb studs for opening are HORRIBLE! I find it almost impossible to get enough grip with a thumb to open it. I have to push so hard that it honestly leaves an indent on my thumb. It's a ridiculous feature, so bad that I don't think anyone checked before the prototype went to manufacture. This is, for me, a two handed opening blade, that opens easily. I've no problem with a two handed opener, and this knife would be amazing without either a thumbhole, or thumbstuds to ruin the blade contours.
