The world renowned Kizer Vagnino Zipslip is now available as a Heinnie® Exclusive. In collaboration with the designer Michael Vagnino and Kizer we have added some new features to create this exciting new UK friendly folder.
The handle, of course, features the Heinnie® red G10 handle whilst a newly formed blade shape creates a compact design and very practical Every Day Carry tool. The deep carry, removable pocket clip is made from stainless steel and will keep your knife close to through out your working day.
Blade cut outs have been replaced with ambidextrous thumb studs for one handed opening and a double detent lessens the risk of accidental closure during use. The blade is made from 154CM stainless steel and features the Heinnie® 'H' logo. The knife is supplied with a Kizer sticker and cleaning cloth and six replacement screws.

A good little UK Friendly EDC knife. The short blade (under 3" including the choil) and the red colour makes it extra UK friendly imo.The shaped G10 feels particularly nice in the hand, and the good sized handle and choil gives decent control and confidence that it's not going to close on you - and the two stage half stop helps with this too

Very well made and attractive knife as I expect from Kizer, feels good in the hand with a secure non-lock up. It isn't as light as an FRN UKPK but then it has steel liners. Despite the dual thumbstuds I didn't expect to be able to open this one handed because of arthritis in my hands, and I am glad that I can't as then it would not feel as secure as it does. For the subscriber price this is an excellent knife.

I absolutely love this knife, it opens easily and is now my everyday carry! I cannot fault HH they have outdone themselves

This is a beautiful knife. The shape, the colours, it's all so attractive. The shade of red used for the handle is truly beautiful, almost regal. I'm the kind of person that normally just goes for a tactical black on everything and avoids colour, but I've really fallen in love with the red handle here. I also love how the slip joint mechanism is hidden from view, and the back spine of the handle is sealed instead of showing a gap between the two scales.• The scales have a relatively grippy texture, but also feel smooth and comfortable at the same time — much better than the rough texture of the CRKT Pilar Heinnie.• The front finger choil is fantastic for guarding against accidental closure and for easily closing the knife. Unlike the CRKT Pilar Heinnie, the front of the choil is smoothed and rounded, so the finger is fully protected from the cutting edge.• There's also a quarter-stop to help protect from accidents — I much prefer this over a half-stop.• The pocket clip is fully deep carry, and completely plain for maximum stealth. This knife could have been perfect. It could have been a contender for the number one knife in my collection. Unfortunately, it has a fatal flaw that relegates it to being just a display piece. The big problem with it is the thumb stud. It's simply impossible to use. It is positioned far too close to the pivot to get proper leverage, and far too close to the handle to squeeze the thumb in to grab it. And then the knife is very stiff on top of that. I can press on the thumb stud with all my might, and the knife doesn't open — all I get is injury to my thumb. It leaves deep impressions/bruising on my thumb and has caused me to bleed, while still not budging. It is just impossible to use. I've seen several other reviewers mention this, both here and on YouTube, so it's not just me.This should really be considered a two-handed opening knife. Even then it's still awkward, as the blade is slippery and hard to properly grip to pull it out. It's such a shame. The original Kizer Zipslip had a thumb hole, which is superior. For some reason, it got swapped to a thumb stud on this Heinnie Haynes version, and it makes the knife impossible to open. I don't understand why they did that. The thumb stud is really just there for decoration.I'm now looking into ways to modify this to make it possible to open one-handed, such as replacing the thumb stud with a larger one, or with a hook-style one, or with a "thumb bar"... We'll see.

I had quite high expectations for this one, but I have mixed feelings about it. Firstly, the build quality is exceptional, and the size and weight are just right for me. It feels good in the hand and the steel is good, and of a good thick gauge. I like the G10, and love the Heinnie red. Perfect so far, but I do have niggles. Describing the Dual thumb studs as making the knife a one handed opener is a bit of a reach. It I definetely a two handed opener, and I find it easier to pull on the blade to open it than to use the studs, which are way back on the blade and don't really provide the leverage to easily open the blade. I find I have to grip both thumb studs with one hand, and the knife with the other, which is why pulling on the blade is so much easier for me. The good (or bad news) is that you're not likely to cut yourself while struggling with the blade or studs because the knife is practically blunt out of the box. Ive bought hundreds of knives in the last few decades, and I can't remember a single one that was as blunt as this out of the box. I can drag the blade edge across my thumb with barely a mark. Hopefully not all of these will be like that, but hey Kizer, a bit more effort required there. One final niggle for me is that I hate pocket clips. The first thing I do is take them off. (A blanking plate would be a nice touch). Always a bug bear for me is the lack of a layard hole or attachment, because that's normally an essential for me once I've removed the pocket clip. In the end, it's a really nice knife for not much money with minor niggles, but expect to have to sharpen or strop it yourself to get a proper edge.

Love all the heinnie collabs , bit of a collecting obsession for me. And this one is no exception. Great ergo's solidly built. My one minor gripe is that it wasn't as sharp as most of my other factory edges and there was a slight abrasion on the cutting edge nothing that couldn't be sharpened out.All in all for the price still a great product.

People say it's hard to open. I found opening as easy as most other knives (I think they must have weak hands). It's a good size and the 154cm blade was sharp out the box. I will probably get a second knife to keep in a collection as the one I have will be a user.

I would go for the original Kizer version. It´s twice the price but really one handed to open by thumb hole and still UK legal.
